Is there a reality that man cannot see, feel, touch, or experience?
Are the billions of people world wide, who believe in the existence of a god, right? Are the
hundreds of million people, who reject the concept, right? Who knows?
Agnosticism states that the knowledge of the existence, or non-existence, of a
deity is simply not possible. Agnosticism isn't a belief system as
such; it's an intellectual skepticism about theology and spiritualism in general.
Knowledge of anything, including a god, can only be achieved if it stands up to the scrutiny
of science and can be proved in the natural world. Since we have been unable
to prove the supernatural, we are not capable of knowing anything about it.
The word "agnostic" is derived from the Greek "a" - without + "gnosis" - knowledge.

At the risk of being accused of generalization, we believe that there are broadly three kinds of
Agnostics:
- Those perfectly content with their belief that you can't know about anything spiritualism; it's
simply
not possible - never was and never will be;
- Those that take an "I doubt it" position, but leave the door open to proof; and,
- Those that espouse an "I want to believe" position - perhaps because they have a more emotional nature.
Their feelings are best summed up in the Agnostic's Prayer: Dear God, if there
is a God. Save my Soul,
If I have a Soul (anon)
This site is dedicated to all three - and those that fall outside our meager attempt at categorization. It is
our hope that we can foster better understanding of the Agnostics' beliefs and open a dialog about them.
We encourage your participation. Please fill in the dialog form ("Your Comments") to have your voice
heard. The comments and dialog of non-Agnostics are most certainly welcome.
